Gear shaft seal type H10

Axial gear box seals from Burgmann afford a number of advantages: very short overall length (similar to lip seals), high pressure stability, compensation of axial and radial shaft deflections, and the availability of split versions.

Stern tube seal type 4600 Water-lubricated

Being of modular design, the Burgmann type 4600 water-lubricated stern tube seal meets all of todays technical requirements of modern stern tube seals: convenient installation, little maintenance, no adjustments. Using a Pneumostop eliminates costly and time-intensive dry-docking. Maintenance and repairs can be performed with the vessel afloat.

Type 4600 water-lubricated stern tube seals work with practically zero-leakage and leaving no oil or grease residues in the waterway. And because they prevent water getting into the bilge, no elaborate actions are required for its disposal.

Type 4600 (open system) and type 4604 (closed system) are certified by the Central Commission for the Navigation on the Rhine.

Water-jet seal type HGH mechanical seal

Semi-split or fully split mechanical seals enable large-size water-jet propulsion systems to be repaired without expending money and time on drawing out the drive shaft. In conjunction with a stand still seal (pneumostop), it is possible to perform maintenance jobs with the vessel afloat

Water-jet seal type MG1 mechanical seal

Water-jet propulsion shafts on smaller vessels are usually equipped with unsplit seals because the effort likely in the event of a repair is far smaller.

Bulkhead seal KS-radial type 3200

Wherever drive shafts pass through bulkheads, Burgmann´s type 3200 and 3210 bulkhead seals present high degree of protection against flooding. If gas-tightness is required, mechanical seals are used in opposing arrangement with a buffer fluid (e.g. water).

Seal for retractable instruments Type 3220 with pneumostop

Type 3220 seals for retractable instrument carriers have a years-long track record of success in coping with high static pressures and large telescoping distances, e.g. on periscopes. Additional safety during emergencies is provided by the Pneumostop.
